As the long, hot days of summer stretch before us, please take some leisure time to enrich your summer with great reading. Incoming seventh graders who read during the summer will earn one point per book (up to 20 points) for extra credit in their language arts classes in September. Both seventh and eighth graders may also take Accelerated Reader quizzes on these books. Use the Summer Reading form to keep track of your reading.

You certainly aren't limited to these books; they are just some of the books I have read myself and enjoyed or for which I have heard great recommendations.There are also more reading ideas on the Lindero Library web page (check the "More Links to Great Books" link) as well as a searchable version of the Accelerated Reader list that also enables you to view summaries of each book.
